Recently a listener wrote in:
"Can not figure out where or how, when online, I can select a portion of a
page, select color or grayscale, and select "best, normal, draft," etc.
Even in Word it takes a bunch of steps to do that, but online the "copies
& pages, paper/type/quality" is missing from the list. How do I do this?

Jim, the OS X print dialog changes a lot depending on what printer you have selected. The printer you are using my not have "color/grayscale" or "best, normal, draft" as part of it's choices. Here are some screen shots guiding you on how to find out.
Doing a File>Print or a Command+P should give you a dialog like this:

Push that little triangle and you should see something like this:

Change that dropdown to "Print Settings" and you should see something like this:

And there are your settings for color and quality. But notice what happens when I change the printer choice:

Now, all of these screen captures are in OS X.5, Leopard, so your millage may vary.
